Response: The proposed designs show on Figure 4a provide that in- <br />flow points are located as far from the dewatering point as poa- <br />Bible. Short-circuiting will therefore be minimized. <br />(7) Each sedimentation pond shall be designed and inspected during <br />construction under the supervision of, and certified after construc- <br />lion by, a qualified registered professional engineer. Certifica- <br />lion of the constructed pond shall be forwarded to the Division im- <br />mediately following construction. <br />Response: A qualified professional engineer, registered in the <br />State of Colorado will supervise the construction of the detention <br />basins. As-built certifications of the constructed ponds will be <br />submitted to the Division after construction. <br />(8) Embankment Design for Sedimentation Ponds <br />(a) The embankment foundation area shall be cleared of all or- <br />ganic matter, all surfaces sloped to no steeper than lv:lh, and the <br />entire foundation surface scarified. <br />(b) The fill material shall be free of sod, large roots, other <br />large vegetation matter, and frozen soil, and in no case shall coal- <br />processing waste be used in embankment construction. <br />(c) The placing and spreading of fill material shall be <br />started at the lowest point of the foundation.
