The following are stipulated for surface water monitoring: a) Flow measurements must be taken at surface water monitoring site S[7-2 and water quality samples must be taken from sites SW-2 and SW-5 on ticClane Canyon twice a year as follows: i) Once during spring snowelt ii) Once during a storm event b) Flow measurements must be taken quarterly at Site SW-1 and water quality samples oust be taken quarterly from sites SW-1 and the new monitoring site on East Salt Creek (which must be located on a map with a specific designation and must be ap- proved by CMLRD and OS`i. c) The water samples must be chemically analyzed for the parame- ters specified below: Sodium Absorption pH Ratio Iead (Pb) Specific Conductance Bicarbonate[HC03) Sodium(NA+) Manganese (tin) Temperature (field) Calcium(Ca+22) Sulfate(S04) Mercury(Hg) Dissolved Oxygen (field) Alumiaum(Al) Molybdem~m(tio) Arsenic(As) Selenium(Se) Total Suspended Solids Total Dissolved Solids tlagnesivm('a+2) Boron(B) Cadmium(Cd) Zinc(Zn) Total Combustible Solids Copper(Cu) Total Hardness Iroa(Fe) d) The results of all monitoring must be submitted to the OSti and CMLRD immediately after data collection. 3. The permittee must submit to the OSti and ChII.RD an annual report charac- terizing the inflows, discharges and the consumption of water within the mine. This report is to include a mine workings map showing the loca- tions and quantity of inflows; a table keyed to the mine map which shall contain the source (i.e. fault, fractures, etc.), quantity, duration,and quality (i.e. pH, electro-conductivity and temperature) of all non-seep inflows; a table containing records of water discharged from the mine, _ _ consumed in the mine and imported for use within the mine; a discussion of the water balance within the mine; and, a pro~ection.of hydrologic im- pacts of mining in the upcpming year. 4. The permittee will continue monitoring wells GW-1 and GW-4 in East Salt Creek alluvium quarterly. At these times the water level in the wells will be measured and samples will be taken for analysis of pH, tempera- ture and specific conductance. The results of this monitoring will be submitted to the OSM and CMLRD irmediately after data collection and an- alysis. 5. Within 5 months of permit issuance, the applicant must provide to the C Regulatory Authority an analysts of the fill and any other disturbed
