Permit Number CO-0026, ( ) <br />Page 6 of 7 <br />4. The permittee will continue monitoring wells GW-1 and GW-4 in <br />• ' ~ East Salt Creek alluvium quarterly. At these times the water <br />level in the wells will be measured and samples will be taken <br />for analysis of pH, temperature and specific conductance. The <br />results of this monitoring will be submitted to the Regulatory <br />Authority immediately after data collection and analysis. <br />5. Within 5 months of permit issuance, the applicant must provide <br />to the Regulatory Authority an analysis of the fill and any <br />other disturbed material which will not be topsoiled prior to <br />revegetation. This analysis will be done on an appropriate <br />number of representative samples criteria in consultation with <br />the regulatory authority taken to a depth of at least 4 feet, <br />and will include an analysis of all required soil parameters <br />for a determination of suitability for reclamation; if unsuit- <br />able, a reclamation plan must be developed. <br />6. Topsoil must be analyzed for fertilzer elements (N,P,K) prior <br />to seeding. If the soil is found to be phosphorous deficient, <br />phosphorous must be incorporated into the topsoil during the <br />respreading process. Any other fertilizer elements which are <br />deficient in the topsoil mdy be added after one year's growth <br />of vegetation at a time of year approved by the Regulatory <br />Authority. <br />7. Within one year of receipt of the permit, the permittee will <br />• submit a plan to the Regulatory Authority for surface <br />manipulation of the soils to enhance moisture retention and <br />reduce erosion during reclamation. This plan will be reviewed <br />for approval by the Regulatory Authority prior to <br />implementation by the permittee. <br />8. The permittee will utilize combined McClane and Munger pre-mine <br />data for productivity for the Greasewood, Shadscale and Juniper <br />vegetative communities respectively. This data shall be sub- <br />ject to the revegetation success criteria. <br />9. Within 60 days of this permit issuance, the permittee shall <br />supply the Regulatory Authority with woody plant density data <br />for the Greasewood, Shadscale and Juniper communities to <br />include, but not be limited to sample size, sample mean, sample <br />variance, and level of confidence achieved. <br />10. The permittee must provide within 90 days, justification to the <br />Regulatory Authority for the woody plant density revegetation <br />levels proposed. Regulatory Authority will determine an <br />acceptable level within 90 days of receipt of this data. <br />11. The permittee will provide and obtain the approval of the <br />Regulatory Authority a means far the evaluation of species <br />diversity at the McClane Canyon site within 90 days of permit <br />issuance. <br />• <br />
