A.sedimentation
system approved by the Division and in coapiiance with the regulations will
route undisturbed flow around the disturbance and will conduct all flow from the
disturbed area through a properly sized sedimentation pond. The water contained
in [he sedimentation pond will be released into the natural drainage only
after it is determined thap the discharged water vi11 meet all applicable
effluent standards. -
The pond design for the t•IcClane Canyon nine is adequate vith respect to
size and location. However, no provisions have been made for dewatering
the pond at the maximum sediaent level. Salt Creek Ptininb Company has
agreed to install a devatering device in the pond. This dewaterino device
will ensure that the pond will at al'_ times be capable of containing the
10 year-24 hour runoff event.
Some ditches represented in the nine plat. indicated high, poter.tial~• erosive,
~.~ velodties when carryiag the flow frcm the 10 pear-24 hour event, These
ditches are, for [he Host part, natural drains cos that existed prior to mine
devele^nenc. The material in the dire'.'.^.es consists of large roc4:s and beuroc~.
These di~thes are therefore considered to be non-erosive and stable.
