~'r GG~si <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1993-55 <br />Page 3 <br />B. LIST OF DISTRICTS <br />Seven districts have been differentiated for individual standards. These <br />are the Corridor District, comprising the area along major roads and <br />waterways; the East District, comprising the non-corridor portions of <br />the County east of the Animas River; the West District, comprising the <br />non-corridor portions of the County west of the Animas River; the <br />Federal District, comprising the National Forest lands in the northern <br />portion of the County; the Durango Service Area, comprising the area <br />immediately surrounding the City of Durango, and the Animas Valley <br />Land Use Plan, comprising the Animas Valley north of the City of <br />Durango. Within the Animas River Valley Land Use Plan, there are <br />five special overlay neighborhood zoning districts formed, pursuant to <br />§30-28-119 C.R.S., being the Hermosa Creek, Bruce Lane, <br />Hermosa/Animas, Hermosa West and the Central Animas Valley <br />Zoning Districts. Except as specifically otherwise provided, the <br />standards and regulations of the La Plata County Permit System and <br />Appendices shall apply throughout the County and within all Districts; <br />and, in the event that two or more districts, as herein provided, shall <br />overlap, the most restrictive standards or regulations shall apply. It is <br />the specific intent of these regulations, that where two or more <br />standards or regulations are applicable, the most restrictive shall apply. <br />C. DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT SPECIFICS <br />The specific standards and regulations for each district are set forth in <br />Section 6.4 of the La Plata County Permit System and also with respect <br />to the Animas Valley Land Use Plan in Appendix 10 hereto. <br />2. That Section 2.1 of the La Plata County Permit System is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br />"The County adopts, for comprehensive planning purposes, and as a part of <br />this document, the following reference maps: <br />-- National Flood Insurance Program Floodway Maps - 1981, by the <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency <br />-- Wildfire Hazard Area Maps - 1974, Colorado State Forest Service <br />-- Geologic Hazard Maps -June, 1976, as prepared for the Animas <br />Regional Planning Commission <br />
