In addition, areas of
water ponding exist around the entire building perimeter
which contribute to localized subsidence/compaction of the
soils near the foundation". To the beet of my knowledge, I
have never seen any ponding existing anywhere around the
entire house nor do I know of any negative sloping existing
in which water would have an impact on the foundation. I
question this inspection report as to its validity since I
have been at this house several times and I know that these
two items listed above do not exist to my own personal
knowledge and experience. I would appreciate a copy of this
inspection report from the Colorado Real Estate Inspection
Service.
In the third paragraph of Page 2, you state that "It is also
important to note that underground room and pillar
operations began being developed toward your home from the
main workings situated 2,150 feet horizontally to the
Southwest. This information is based upon the latest
Underground Mine Progress Map provided by Basin Resources to
the Division on February 1, 1993 in response to the
Division's December 1992 Mid-Term Review. As such, as these
underground workings were developing, they proceeded beneath
the railroad to their current location of 750 feet
horizontally from the adobe structure".
Michael A.
