C~ <br />• <br />Section III - Status of Stipulations <br />(continued) <br />Stipulation No. 6 <br />The operator shall install and begin monitoring one monitoring well <br />located at Drainage Node 22, as shown on Map No. 13. The well shall be <br />completed within the bedrock below the surficial material within 60 days <br />of the permit issuing. Water levels, pN, electro-conductivity, and <br />temperature in this well must be monitored monthly as weather permits, and <br />water quality samples shall be drawn quarterly for the parameters listed <br />in Appendix A. This monitoring data must be submitted to the Division <br />quarterly. The applicant shall submit to the Division a well completion <br />report and monitoring schedule within 30 days after the well is completed. <br />Resolved: Node 22(B-7) was drilled October 30, 1981 and the well <br />completion report was submitted December 11, 1981. Results from this site <br />are currently submitted on an annual basis. This stipulation is currently <br />found as Stipulation No. 32 in the 1988 document. <br />Stipulation No. 7 <br />Within 60 days of permit issuance, Colorado Westmoreland, Inc. must <br />provide the Division with a specific crop production standard for the <br />orchard area. Pending Division approval, this standard will be used in <br />evaluating revegetation success within the orchard vegetation type. <br />Resolved: CWI submitted the final plan for evaluating orchard <br />revegetation success on March 2, 1982. This was approved by the Division <br />on March 31, 1982. <br />Stipulation No. 8 <br />Within 60 days of permit issuance, Colorado Westmoreland, Inc. must <br />provide the Division with an appropriate, justifiable shrub/tree density <br />standard which will be sufficient to meet the approved post-mining land <br />use for the reclaimed surface. This standard must be based upon a <br />recommendation from the Division of Wildlife, and must include the <br />findings of the technical references/sources used to establish this <br />standard. <br />Resolved: CWI submitted a shrub/tree density standard to the Division on <br />March 2, 1982. The Division approved it on March 31, 1982. It can be <br />found in Volume 9A of the current permit application. <br />Stipulation No. 9 <br />The operator's quarterly surface water monitoring reports shall include <br />the water quality testing parameters listed in Appendix A, Baseline Water <br />Quality Monitoring. <br />Resolved: CWI incorporated the Division's Baseline Data Collection <br />Guidelines into Volume 4, Table 6, of their permit application. The <br />testing parameters listed in Appendix A have been included in the surface <br />water monitoring. <br />-~- <br />
