Stipulation No. 29

The operator shall continue to submit to the Division an annual report of
inflows, discharges, and consumption of water within the mine. This
report is to include a mine workings map showing the location and quantity
of inflows; a table keyed to the mine map which shall contain the source
(i.e. fault, fractures, etc.), quantity, duration and quality (i.e. pH,
electro-conductivity and temperature) of all measurable inflows; a table
containing records of water imported for use within the mine; a discussion
of the water balance within the mine; and finally, a projection of
hydrologic impacts of mining in the upcoming year. The mine inflow study
shall be conducted during the month of June. If the occurrence of inflows
becomes significantly greater than the anticipated rates, the Division may
require that an additional inflow study be conducted at another time
during the year.
Resolved: The commitment to annual mine inflow monitoring and reporting
is found in Volume 5A of the permit document.
Stipulation No. 30
CWI shall continue to maintain rain gage and evaporation pan monitoring at
or near the WEI wellfield. The rain gage shall record daily and the
evaporation monitor shall record evaporation monthly when not frozen.
Resolution: COVCC is presently putting together a hydrologic budget which
will satisfy the conditions set forth in Section 2.04.8(1)(b) and (c) that
prompted the origination of this stipulation.
Stipulation No. 31
CWI shall submit a plan to monitor water quantity changes as a result of
changing the overland ditch point of diversion to West Roatcap Creek
within 30 days of permit issuance.
Resolved: CWI submitted this plan September 29, 1988, and MLRD approved
the plan October 28, 1988.
Stipulation No. 32
The operator shall monitor one alluvial well identified as Node 22 or 67.
Water levels, pH, electro-conductivity and temperature in this well must
be monitored monthly, as weather permits, and water quality samples shall
be drawn quarterly for the parameters listed in Appendix A.
Resolved: CWI committed to monitoring the Node 22 (B-7) well in
Section 2.05.6(3)(b)(iii) of the permit document.
Stipulation No. 33
Ventilation shaft construction activities will be performed prior to
June 1, 1988, or following June 15, 1988, to reduce disruption during the
fawning period.
Ongoing.
_lg_
