The pipe was set against a ledge of outcropping <br />weathered, brown-gray, very fine grained sandstone which would appear to <br />be the source of the spring. The spring is probably seasonal. <br />~ ~ rN'}e r <br />Given the above, it appears the spring does not warrant monitoring. <br />Furthermore, the summer of 1983 was exceptionally wet and it would be <br />expected that the spring would be flowing at the time of the <br />investigation. As stated above, it was not flowing and provides further <br />evidence for dropping the monitoring requirement.
