acre of nitrogen should be spread over the area to be mulched so as to
u
avoid nitrogen deficiency in the desirable vegetation. [t is not
anticipated that any conditions will he met which will require mulching.
The fallowing seed mixture is based upon a seeding rate of
•
approximately l0U live seeds per square foot when the seed is broadcast.
It is composed of species which will provide long-term stability in the
vegetation as well as rapid cover. The mixture is diverse and contains
a considerable amount of legume, in fact, mare legume than would be
placed in the average mixture. This is because of the important role of
the legumes in the preceeding description of the approach to be used.
SPECIES
PUBESCENT WHEATGRA55
INTERMEDIATE WHEAT6RAS5
LITTLE BLUE5TEM
SIDEDAT5 GRAMA
SAND BLUE5TEM
SAND DROPSEED
BLUE GRAMA
WESTERN WHEATGRA5S
YELLOW SWEETCLDVER
NOTES:
RATE (LBS_ P~5/q_CRE _ BRDADCF5T)
4.25 'S `~c
4.SU i3`/°
1.0U 4.5°/u
1.U0 S,Sy~
4.00 ~~ ~
0.25 a;
0.50 ~~/°
5.00 '%°%
2_00 /.5
:2.50
1.) The Sand Drapseed should not be blended with the other seeds.

Instead, it should be kept separate and seeded separate from the other
species. This species has approximately 5 MILLION seeds per pound
whereas the others have fron 50,000 to 250,000 seeds per pound. In
practice, the Sand Drapseed would sink to the bottom and essentially all
the seed would be planted in the first few yards and virtually none
would be seeded elsewhere.
F'AGE 1~ OF 14 - EXHIBIT E:
