EXHIBIT E
i
RECLAMATION FLAN
INTRODUCTION_ The reclamation plan is tied to E:~hibit F which
is the reclamation plan map. In general, the pits that will be
produced in the mining will be sloped up to the phase boundaries or in
some places the permit boundaries
3:1 to as gradual as about 144:1
The slopes will vary from 2.5:1 or
Most pit side slopes will range from
2.5:1 at the steepest to about 5:1 at the mast gradual with the mast
common grade being between 3:1 and 4: 1.
These grades and the farm should be compatible with the proposed
•
final land use as a building site for either industry or residential
uses. They should also 6e compatible with goad revegetation on the
slopes.
Topsoil will be used on cost areas east of Academy boulevard, but
its use will be rather limited on the west side. Soil to be replaced
will be derived froe the site. Revegetation will follow topsoiling if
construction of buildings is not eminent.
Three particular features of the plan deserve special note. First,

the grading and final topographic configuration on areas west of Academy
will be linked to a reclamation plan for the Castle Concrete Sand Pit
operation just north of the Daniel's Sand processing plant. This will
be accomplished through the removal, by Castle Concrete, of the large
ridge of sand separating the two operations. This will improve the
eventual utility of both areas, but will 6e especially beneficial to
Castle Concrete's Sand Pit.
F'AGE 1 DF 14 - EXHIBIT E
