undermined and no longer records data. Water levels are
measured in the above listed wells on a quarterly basis.
In addition to the parameters listed on Table 12, the
operator measures mine inflow, with inflow quantities,
location and source identified on a semi-annual basis.
All the sample results, mine inflow, and water depth are
submitted to the Division in an Annual Hydrology Report.
The ground water monitoring plan meets the requirements
of Rule 4.05.13(1). See Exhibit 25 of the permit
application for further information.
2. The applicant will conduct monitoring of surface water in
a manner approved by the Division. The monitoring plan
was submitted under 2.05.6(3)(b)(iv) and includes the
following:
Under the provisions of the NPDES permit, the operator
will prepare and submit quarterly compliance reports on
all discharge points at the mine and loadout sites. In
the event of a discharge, selected water quality
parameters will be taken and flow measured while samples
will be taken weekly if discharge is occurring.
Parameters analyzed can be found in Exhibit 25 of the
permit application.
In addition, surface flow (when conditions permit) will
be measured both upstream and downstream of the mine and
samples will be collected and analyzed quarterly for the
following creeks: Magpie Creek, Newlin Creek, Second
Alkali Creek and Oak Creek. Maps 12 and 13 show exact
monitoring points.
All monitoring information of surface and ground waters
is submitted in the Annual Hydrology Report (see pages
2.05.6-52 through 54 of the permit application).
G.
