Of the 3,428.5 acres of the permit area, 1193.42 acres were disturbed (or re-disturbed) by <br />mining permitted under Permit C-1980-001. An additional 493 acres had been disturbed <br />by previous (pre-law) mining, and the remainder remained undisturbed.
