Surface and Ground Water Monitoring The applicant conducts monitoring of ground water in a manner approved by the Division. The ground water monitoring plan is as follows: Water level measurements are taken at Trout Creek alluvial wells TR-1.5, TR-3; and TR-4; Moffat Area wells 215W, 215L, 218W, 2 ] 8L, 892S, and 892L; Trout Creek sandstone well TRS-1; and at the West Ridge spoils well WR-1. Ground water quality is monitored at TR-1.5, TR-3, TR-4, TCS-1, and WR-1. Locations of all wells are depicted in Exhibit 4.6-26. Frequencies and parameters are listed in Table 4.6-54 (page 4.6-144) of the PAP [Rule 4.05.13(1)]. 2. The applicant conducts monitoring of surface water in a manner approved by the Division. The monitoring plan was submitted under Rule 2.05.6(3)(b)(iv) and includes the following: Continuous flow-monitoring sites (TR-a and TR-b on Trout Creek) upstream and downstream of the mine are maintained from April through October. Weekly flow measurements are taken at the NPDES sampling points. Locations of the surface water monitoring sites are depicted in Exhibit 4.6-26 of the PAP. Surface water quality is monitored upstream at TR-A, downstream at TR-D, in the Moffat Area at TR-C, and in the West Ridge Area at TR-B. Frequencies and parameters are listed in Table 4.6-54 (page 4.6-144 of the PAP) [Rule 4.05.13(2)]. 3. Springs and seeps aze inventoried annually, and aze reported in the Annual Hydrology Report. A sample is collected at any spring exhibiting flow in excess of 20 gallons per minute (gpm), and the sample is analyzed for the same partial list of pazameters as surface water samples.
