The mining
performed by Wyoming Fuel Company has occurred south along the eastern flank
of the McCallum Anticline, while Kerr Coal Company operations are proceeding
north toward the nose of the Johnny Moore Syncline. That is, the operation's
are proceeding away from each other. The previous mining and current
reclamation operations in Pit 1 occur approximately one mile southwest of the
most southern extent of the Kerr Coal Company Marr Strip Mine.
