XVIII. Coal Processin Waste and Non-Coal Processin Waste -Rules <br />and <br />As the only activity to occur during the second permit term is reclamation of <br />the previously disturbed area, this section does not apply. <br />The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />XIX. Mine Faciliti <br />ilities - Rul <br /> <br />A description of mine facilities, coal handling structures, support facilities <br />is found on pages 30 and 56 of Volume I of the original permit application. <br />Mine facilities at the Canadian Strip Mine include an office trailer, shop, <br />crushing plant, and truck scale. The locations of these structures are shown <br />on Figure 2 of the permit document. These facilities, and the remainder of <br />equipment on the site, will be removed prior to final reclamation. <br />The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />XX, Roads - Rules 2.03 and 4.03 <br />Information regarding roads is found on page 35 of Volume I, Appendix 5 of <br />Volume III, and Figure 2 of the permit renewal application. <br />The road which connects the permit area to Jackson County Road 23a will be <br />retained as part of the final reclamation plan for the Canadian Strip Mine. <br />The roadway was a pre-existing access road to an oil well, and through an <br />executed agreement (Appendix S of original application) will continue in place <br />after reclamation is completed. <br />The road was upgraded to meet the performance standards for haul roads prior <br />to its use as such. The section of haul road between the previous facilities <br />area and the access/entrance haul road will be reclaimed as part of the <br />reclamation plan (page 35), A parking area and turn-around have been included <br />in the post-mine design of the road (Figure 2). <br />The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />XXI, Bonding - Rule 2.05.4(2)(6) <br />Information regarding bonding is found in Section 2.03, Volume I of the <br />original permit application. Additional information can be found in Section <br />2,08.5 of the permit renewal application. <br />Reclamation of the current disturbance is the only activity to be permitted at <br />the Canadian Strip Mine during the term of the permit renewal. Conditions at <br />present represent less disturbance than the maximum disturbance conditions <br />used to calculate the original bond amount of E921,000.00. <br />22 <br />
