The following are stipulated for surface water monitoring: ~~ a) Flow measurements must be taken at surface water monitoring site Sld-2 and water quality samples must be taken from sites SW-2 and SW-5 on :fcClane Canyon twice a year as follows: i) Once during spring snowmelt ii) Once during a storm event b) Flow measurements must be taken quarterly at Site SW-1 and water quality samples must be taken quarterly from sites SW-1 and the new monitoring site on East Salt Creek (which must be located on a map with a specific designation and must be ap- proved by CMLRD and OSM. c) The water samples must be chemically analyzed for the parame- ters specified below: • Sodium Absorption pH Ratio Icad (Pb) Specific Conductance - Bicarbonate~HC03) Sodium(NA+) Manganese (t7n) Temperature (field) Calcium(Ca+ ) Sulfate(S04) Mercury(Hg) Dissolved Oxygen (field) Aluminum(A1) Molybdenum(ito) • - Arsenic(As) Selenium(Se) Total Suspended Solids Magnesium(Lfg+2) Boron(B) Zinc(Zn) Total Dissolved Solids Cadmium(Cd) Total Combustible Solids Copper(Cu) " _ Total Hardness Iron(Fe) ' _ d) The results of all monitoring must be submitted to the OSt1 and '~'~ CMLRD immediately after data collection. 3. The permittee must submit to the OSt4 and CMLRD an annual report charac- ' terizing the inflows, discharges and the consumption of water within [he mine. This report is to include a mine workings map showing the loca- tions and quantity of Snflows; a table keyed to the mine map which shall contain the source (i.e. fault, fractures, etc.), quantity, duration,and quality (i.e. pH, electro-conductivity and temperature) of all non-seep inflows; a table containing records of water discharged from the mine, consumed in the mine and imported for use within the mine; a discussion of the water balance within the mine; and, a projection of hydrologic im- pacts of mining in the upcoming year. 4. The permittee will continue monitoring wells GlJ-1 and G~J-4 in East Salt Creek alluvium quarterly. At these times the water level in the welts will 6e measured and samples wil'_ be taken for analysis of pH, tempera- ture and specific conductance. The results of this monitoring will be submitted to the OS.'1 and C:iLRD immediately after data collection and an- alysis. • 5.
