;-
PAGE TWO
JANUARY 11, 1985
MS. CANDY:THOMPSON
but the plans in the Hermit document are representative.
The installed alignment and culvert spacing is shorn in
the "Haul Road As-Built. Pit No. 4" drawing dated 7/24/84
and submitted to Dan by .letter dated 8/3/84.
Bob Sherman adjusted culvert spacing in the field so that
culverts would empty into natural drainages (existing draws)
to minimize erosion on the hillside. Bob did not install
the first 12" culvert below Pit 4 for a good reason: there
is a natural slip area in the undisturbed hillside below this
point. Bob wanted to keep excess water from this area and
diverted water to the next culvert. Please feel free to
discuss this with nob. If after seeing the slip area, you
want The Rockcastle Company to install a culvert at this
general location, Bob will do so. Otherwise, the spacing
and general locations match the plans in the permit.
If you have questions regarding Pit 4 haul road, please
feel free to call me or Bob Sherman.
Very truly yours,
Tommy D.
