Public Notice Bowie Resources Limited., P.O. Box 483, Paonia, CO, 81428, has submitted an application for a permit revision to the Division of Minerals and Geology for its Bowie No. 2 Mine, mining permit No. C-96-083. The proposed revision will revise the mining plan and includes and incidental permit boundary change which will add a small amount of Federal Coal to the mine plan area. All of the mine facilities except a pump station are located immediately north of old State Highway 133 near the town of Bowie, CO. The Fire Mountain Canal is located south of the mine facilities. The railroad and the North Fork of the Gunnison River are also located south of the mine facilities. The mine permit area is located on the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Bowie Quadrangle map within the following sections. Township 13 South.
