Aggregate Source - Amendment Application
Permit No. M-77-193
Dear Mr. Schreiner:
Zn response to your December 11, 1996 letter to Rita Everett, and
similar communication with Philip B. Smith and Colita N. Smith,
requesting clarification of whether our earlier correspoxidence
were merely comments or intended to be formal objections to
granting of the foregoing permit application, be advised that we
are formally objecting to issuance of an amended permit.
To clarify, all three of us object to the granting of thE~
application to amend the permit and wish to be formally treated
as "Objectors" as long as the permit amendment application is
pending before your agency.
Specific matters we object to, and intended to object to in the
Rita Everett letter dated November 18, 1996 and the Smitki letter
dated November 22, 1996, include the following:
1. The storm water management plan (SWMP) that is submitted as
part of the application appears to be deficient, or, at least, it
is insufficient in content at this point to tell whether or not
it is deficient.
2. The proposed haul road plan that is submitted as pax•t of the
application appears to be deficient, or, at least, it is
insufficient in content at this point to tell whether or not it
is deficient.
3. We wish it be made clear that the SWMP, as finally c.esigned
and approved, will be wholly constructed and implemented prior to
and as a precondition to commencement of operations in tY..e
expanded area.
