Sharp hollow needle, or other approved pressure feed device. <br />4. An air pressure monitoring device. <br />PART 3: EXECUTION <br />3.01 SUBGRADE: <br />CONTRACTOR, on a daily basis, shall certify in writing that [he surface on which the <br />geomembrane will be installed is acceptable. It will be the CONTRACTOR'S responsibili[y to <br />maintain and protect the subgrade in the condition that was originally accepted, prior to <br />geosynthetic deployment until accepted by OWNER, under criteria identified in Section 2200 <br />as per the Soil liner Fill SPECIFICATIONS. <br />3.02 ACCEPTANCE: <br />CONTRACTOR shall retain all ownership and responsibiiiry for the geomembrane until final <br />acceptance. The geomembrane shall be accepted by OWNER when all of the following <br />conditions are met: <br />Installation is finished. <br />2. Verification of the adequacy of all seams and repairs, including associated <br />testing, is complete. <br />3. Certification, including OC documentation is provided by CONTRACTOR [o <br />MANAGER. <br />4. Recommended acceptance by MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER. <br />3.03 ANCHOR TRENCH: <br />A. The anchor trenches shall be excavated to the tines, grade, and width shown on the <br />DRAWINGS, prior to geosynthetic placement. MANAGER shall verify that the anchor <br />trench has been constructed according to the DRAWINGS. <br />Slightly rounded corners shall be provided in the trench where the geomembrane adjoins <br />the trench so as to avoid sharp bends in the geomembrane. <br />B. The anchor trench shall be backfilled and compacted as approved by MANAGER, <br />DESIGN ENGINEER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER. Trench hackfill material shall be placed <br />in eight (81 to twelve (12) inch thick loose lifts and compacted by wheel rolling with <br />light, rubber-tired ar other light compaction equipment, as approved by MANAGER. <br />Care shall be taken when backfilling the trenches to prevent any damage to the <br />,_ geomembrane.
