(formerly CAMAS <br />Colorado, Inc.) for the Hammer Pit. <br />This individuaj plan is part of a combined subndttal of substitute supply plans for sites along the <br />•-• South Platte River. A detailed discutslon of teplacelnem water applied to this combined <br />submittal cast be found in a separate letter rogarding 'Combined South Platte Replacement Plan'. <br />ProJccr Description <br />The Hammer Pit is located in Sections 14 and 23, Township I South, Range 67 West, fi P.M. <br />The site is south of the City of Drighton in Adams County trelu the intersection of Highway 7 <br />and Riverdale Road. A vicinity map, Figure-l, is included for your reference. <br />lnitiaUy, the project oalled for development of a North Pit and a Soulh Pit. The two pit sites were <br />not contiguous. Subsequently, the area between the two pits and the area to west of the initial <br />pits has been mado available for mining and amended into the mining permit. The current <br />mining site is now one contiguous pixc and is shown In Figtue-1. <br />The whole site is being dry-mined. Consumptive uses for the mining operation include water <br />used for dust control, water rt:taiacd in product hauled off site, and evaporation from settling <br />ponds, dewatering trench, and collection basin.
