If the <br />seed is broadcast, then the rates of a.ll species will be doubled. <br />No irrigation will occur because water is very limited. No <br />mulches are deemed necessary. Test plots will be placed on the <br />sire and studied. The use of mulch will be evaluated and Che <br />information supplied at annual report time. Reclamation ccsCs <br />include the use of 4,000 lbs. of clean straw mulch per acre. <br />Trees will be planted irregularly along the base of the footwall <br />to reduce the visual impact. Trees are not part of the naCural <br />vegetation found on the proposed d.i_sturbed land. Therefore, the <br />success of the trees cannot be determined nor does the operator <br />want to commit to a given success ratio. `frees will normally be <br />planted at a rate of l.0 trees pee 100 J.inear feet of fvotwa.JJ., <br />and within 20 feet of the base of Cl,e footwall. 'These wi.11 be planted Erom <br />bare-root stock. <br />The only type of shrub planned for this site is mountain Mahogany <br />whir_h will be planted on predominately north facing slopes. 't'he <br />shrubs will be planted on a 1 ar_.re .for 1 acre basis, i.c.
