Proposed compromise of the 112 Weaver h~uarry
Mining Permit
As referenced by the Mine Plan Map and keclamation
Plan Meip, the proposed compromise is being submitted to the
Lorimer County Planning and Zoning Commission.
1.. Total affected area on the original 112 conversion
applic:at ion was 122 acres- NEW PROPOSAL = 67.2~.ruFS
2. Total quarry boundary area on the original 112
conversion application was 78 acres. NEW PROPOSAL = 39 ACRBS
3. C~uarry boundary is proposed to be limited by the current
western boundary of the existing quarry. This will significantly
lesson the visual impact of this proposed quarrying operation.
4. A 100" setback from the final guarry highwall is to be
used £or highwall reduction by using reclamation blasting.
(See a~~companying drawings of reclamation blasting technique)
5. Mountain mahogany seed will be included in the
reclamation seed mix.
6. A topsoil substitute will be used in conjunction with
the SCS and/or CSU recommendations to provide a soil structure
that will support vegetation and blend in with undisturbed area
at this site_
7. An escalated reclamation schedule will be adopted to
lessen the visual impact of this guarry_
8. A study plot at the Weaver Quarry will be used to
determine soil additives.
9. A copy of this report will become a part of our 112
conversion application with the CMLRD.
L7. Reclamation bond estimate will be changed to
$3,800/acre X 12 acres = $45,600_
