Long <br />Division DireUOr <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology proposes that an application to <br />renew a valid, existing permit to conduct coal mining and reclamation <br />operations submitted by the Colorado Yampa Coal Company for the Eckman Park No <br />1 & 2 Mine be approved with stipulations. <br />The Eckman Park No 1 & 2 operation is located in Routt County, approximately <br />20 miles southwest from Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The mine is a reclaimed <br />surface mine. The permit area encompasses approximately 7,320.1 acres in <br />Sections 7, 8, 9, 16, 17, 18, 19, 30 of T4N, R86W; Section 13, 24, 25 of T4N, <br />R87W; Sections 19, 20, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 of TSN, R86W; and Sections <br />24, 25, 36, of TSN, R87W in Routt County, Colorado. <br />This proposed approval decision is based on a finding that the proposed <br />operation will comply with all requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal <br />Mining Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 34-33-101, et sec., and the regulations <br />promulgated thereunder. <br />Copies of the proposed decision including stipulations, are on file for public <br />inspection at the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, <br />Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203 and at the <br />County Clerk's Office in Routt County, Box 773598, Steamboat Springs, CO. <br />Persons with an interest that may be adversely affected by the proposed <br />decision may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board <br />on the proposed decision. Such request must be made within thirty (30) days <br />of the initial publication of this notice, must be in writing, and must state <br />with reasonable specificity the reasons for the request and the objections to <br />the proposed decision. <br />1090G <br />
