Squire, Reclamation Specialist <br />RE: Adequacy Review: Buffalo No. 1 Mine Conversion, File No, M-78-011 <br />The following items must be addressed by the applicant in order to satisfy the <br />applicable requirements of C.R.S. 34-32-101 et seq, and the Mineral Rules and <br />Regulations of the Mined Land Reclamation Board: <br />Permit Application Form <br />1. Item 9. "County" - The project is located in Elbert County. Please <br />correct. <br />' Exhibit C - Mining Plan Maps <br />1. For these maps to comply with C.R.S. 34-32-112(4) and Rules 2,1.2(2) and <br />(3 ), the following information should be shown: <br /> <br />a. The actual areas to be mined for clay and for topsoil; <br />b. All proposed water diversions and impoundments; <br />.\ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />r <br />c. All proposed overburden, material, and topsoil stockpile locations; <br />d. All mine related disturbances (please see Rule 1.1(2) - "Affected <br />land" definition and include the locations of disturbances; <br />e. All presently existing significant, valuable, and permanent <br />man-made structures and their names; <br />f. Phases of the mining process (see question number 5 under the <br />Mining Plan section) which are correlated with the phase <br />definitions in the mining plan; <br />g. Paragraph 18 of Exhibit D - Mine Plan states that "existing draws <br />will be crossed at limited locations,. and that all other mine <br />related activities wilt maintain a 50 foot vegetated buffer from <br />the bank full stage of the draws." The planned crossing areas and <br />the 50 foot buffer areas must be shown on the Mining Plan Maps. <br /> <br />
