During the Division's pre-operation inspection of January 28, 2005, the Division noted lazge
quantities of mining related debris and miscellaneous equipment stored within the expanded permit
area, immediately south of the existing Hewes Pit. Because this equipment is located within the
proposed expanded permit area, the Division will need to include a cost for removal of all items in the
reclamation cost estimate, Please provide an inventory of all structures, barrels and their contents,
and debris located on site and their associated dimensions. As an alternative to bonding for removal,
the applicant may remove the structures from site prior to approval of this conversion application.
Photographs documenting removal will need to be submitted,
Office of "'-"` ~ Office of ~~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Colorado - ~~
Mined land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
