The two small intermittent drainages present may contain <br />wetlands but are outside the mining limits. The soil survey indicates well-drained soils within the <br />mining limits. Well-drained soils are typical of uplands and are rarely found in wetlands. The <br />NWI map indicates wetlands within the two intermittent drainages, but not within the intended <br />mining limits. All of the information reviewed indicates wetlands or waters of the U.S. are <br />unlikely to be present in the mining limits. <br />Based on our review of the above information sources, it is our opinion that it is highly unlikely <br />that wetlands or waters of the U.S. are present within the proposed mining limits shown on Figure <br />1. <br />Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or need additional information.
