TABLEI-USES <br />• This CUP amendment application is for the continuation of surface mining activities at the Cresson <br />Project on lands zoned for agricultural use in the Cripple Creek Mining District of southern Teller <br />County ("District"). Mining is a conditional use on lands zoned for Agriculture ("A] "), as shown <br />on Table 1. Teller Counry has previously approved CUP amendments requested by CCS V for <br />surface mining in accordance with applicable County regulations. <br />The Cresson Project is wholly within the boundaries of the CCMOD. The CCMOD is shown <br />on Drawing 1. Under the proposed regulations, mining is recognized as au activity which has <br />historically occurred, and which will continue to occur, within this area. As such, the <br />proposed regulations would consider those surface mining activities addressed in proposed <br />Section 1.3 in the CCMOD as a planned unit development ("PUD") and approval would <br />occur through a PUD process. <br /> <br />n <br />LJ <br />
