Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company -Cresson Project
• Application Under Teller County Land Use Regulations
for an Amendment to a Conditional Use Permit -Mining
and for a Planned Unit Development Permit
Under the Proposed Cripple Creek Mining Overlay District Regulations
(Amendment No. 8)
This document addresses requirements of the Teller County Land Use Regulations (effective
January 2, 2000) that apply to an amendment to a Conditional Use Permit ("CUP") for surface
mining ("Mining") conducted on lands zoned for agricultural uses. Where appropriate to minimize
duplication, this document refers the reviewer to information within the submittal made by Cripple
Creek & V ictor Gold Mining Company ("CC&V") to the Colorado Office of Mined Land
Reclamation ("OMLR") for Amendment No. 8 to OMLR Permit M-80-244 as well as to
attachments to this document.
This document also has been developed to satisfy the requirements of the draft regulations under
development by Teller County for the Cripple Creek Mining Overlay District ("CCMOD"), based
on the draft dated Mazch 17, 2000. Information included to address these proposed regulations is in
bold in the following discussions. CC&V requests that this application be reviewed for compliance
with the existing Teller County Land Use Regulations and, if necessary, the newly adopted
regulations for the CCMOD since the proposed draft regulations for the CCMOD may become
effective prior to approval of the Amendment No. 8 activities. In the event the CUP amendment is
• approved prior to finalization of the CCMOD regulations, the activities described herein would be
implemented until such time it is mutually agreed to pursue project acceptance under the CCMOD
regulations.
Requirements of Teller County Land Use Regulations Tables 1 through 7 are addressed below in
the order of occurrence in each table. Where appropriate, a reference is made to the proposed
CCMOD regulations as well.
•
