Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company -Cresson Project <br />• Application Under Teller County Land Use Regulations <br />for an Amendment to a Conditional Use Permit -Mining <br />and for a Planned Unit Development Permit <br />Under the Proposed Cripple Creek Mining Overlay District Regulations <br />(Amendment No. 8) <br />This document addresses requirements of the Teller County Land Use Regulations (effective <br />January 2, 2000) that apply to an amendment to a Conditional Use Permit ("CUP") for surface <br />mining ("Mining") conducted on lands zoned for agricultural uses. Where appropriate to minimize <br />duplication, this document refers the reviewer to information within the submittal made by Cripple <br />Creek & V ictor Gold Mining Company ("CC&V") to the Colorado Office of Mined Land <br />Reclamation ("OMLR") for Amendment No. 8 to OMLR Permit M-80-244 as well as to <br />attachments to this document. <br />This document also has been developed to satisfy the requirements of the draft regulations under <br />development by Teller County for the Cripple Creek Mining Overlay District ("CCMOD"), based <br />on the draft dated Mazch 17, 2000. Information included to address these proposed regulations is in <br />bold in the following discussions. CC&V requests that this application be reviewed for compliance <br />with the existing Teller County Land Use Regulations and, if necessary, the newly adopted <br />regulations for the CCMOD since the proposed draft regulations for the CCMOD may become <br />effective prior to approval of the Amendment No. 8 activities. In the event the CUP amendment is <br />• approved prior to finalization of the CCMOD regulations, the activities described herein would be <br />implemented until such time it is mutually agreed to pursue project acceptance under the CCMOD <br />regulations. <br />Requirements of Teller County Land Use Regulations Tables 1 through 7 are addressed below in <br />the order of occurrence in each table. Where appropriate, a reference is made to the proposed <br />CCMOD regulations as well. <br />• <br />
