Seeding will be accomplished by either
broadcasting, or by using a seed drill. If broadcasting is used, seed rates will be doubled.
Due to the nature of the backfill material and topsoil found in the area, hay, straw or fiber
mulch is considered to be necessary. Mulching will be accomplished with a clean weed-
free straw at a rate of 2000 pounds per acre. The straw mulch will be crimped into the soil
with a disc or mulch crimper.
W EED CONTROL -Weed control measures wil{ be employed for control of any noxious
weed species. Control measures will also be used if the growth of weed species on the
reclaimed area threatens further spread of the weeds to nearby areas.
