Show the locations {approximate) of all planned water impoundments on the mining plan <br />map. <br />Provide dimensions of the impoundments. <br />Delineate each proposed 100-acre stage or phase on the mining plan and reclamation <br />maps and outline the sequence in which each stage or phase of the operation will be <br />carried out (Rule 6.4.4(e)(iii)). <br />Containment berms (3' high) will be constructed around the asphalt and concrete plant <br />per existing permit. Reclamation of the plant areas is not being revised. <br />If al] mining operations remain 200 feet from the existing man-made structures {power <br />lines, sub-station, canal, etc.), the applicant does not need to comply with requirements of <br />Exhibit S (Rule 6.4.19). However, a commitment to a 200-foot setback is required. <br />7. Exhibit E -grading shall be carried on so as to create a final topography appropriate to <br />the final land use selected in the Reclamation plan. When placing excess fines and <br />overburden how will the operator ensure adequate compaction of the material for <br />stability? <br />Does-the applicant plan to remove the berms at the floor edges adjacent to the steep <br />slopes during reclamation? <br />Provide thickness estimates of overburden, excess fines and topsoil that will be backfilled <br />into the disturbed areas.'.What type of equipment will be used to transport, place and <br />compact the. material? <br />i If the topsoil stockpiles aze not going to be replaced in the disturbed azea within one <br />growing season; the applicant must plant one, or more, of the approved grass species on <br />the stockpiles for the purpose of stabilization. <br />"Methods of weed control shall.be employed. for all prohibited noxious weed species. <br />-Weed control methods shall also be used whenever the inhabitation of the reclaimed area <br />by weeds threaten further spread of serious weed pests to nearby areas. <br />8. Exhibit F -remove references to Conditional Use Permit (CUP and CUP numbers) from <br />the reclamation map. <br />Make sure the affected land boundaries and the permit boundaries aze legibly portrayed <br />on the map. <br />Delineate each proposed 100-acre stage or phase and outline the sequence in which each <br />stage or phase of the operation will be reclaimed. <br />9. Exhibit S - as previously noted, if all the mining operations are to remain 200 feet from <br />the existing man-made structures, the applicant must commit to the 200-foot setback in <br />this Exhibit. <br />Pursuant to Rule 1.8, the applicant must file a copy of this letter and a copy of the response with <br />the County Clerk and Recorder and provide the Division with an affidavit or receipt <br />demonstrating that the revision was filed with the Clerk and Recorder. <br />Prior to final consideration of this amendment application, the applicant must submit proof of <br />publication and proof of all required notices to adjoining landowners etc. <br />
