- Embankment founda ton area shalt be cleared of all organ;c mater;al.
- A cut off trench shall be excavated a minimum of 4' below the existing ground level nail 4' ;nto the s+de slopes. A
greater depth ray be necessary .f voids or loose mnter~nl are stall ev;dent. The bottom of the trench shall be
started at the centerUne of the embankment and extend 10' upstream. S;des of the cut shall have a mnx;mum

dens;ty. Water shntl be nddeG as necessary to achieve proper compaction.

grovel or silt. The fall shall not contain any rocks larger than 6' .n d~nmeter.
