<br />section 2.05.4(2)(b) Bonding Information <br />1. Enclosed is the revised bond amount as estimated by Division <br />staff for your review. The total required estimated amount of <br />liability to be held for the mine is $105,363.00. As the renewal <br />approval date is rapidly approaching - July 16, 1993, please <br />forward your comments to the Division regarding the bond estimate <br />as soon as is possible. <br />If you would like to arrange a conference on this issue, please <br />give a weeks notice to arrange a time and place. Both Minrec's and <br />the Division's approval of the bond amount must be made before a <br />new permit can be issued. <br />2. Permit page 4-68a will need revision to reflect the final <br />agreed upon bond estimate amount. <br />3. Please include in the permit that Phase I bond release has <br />taken place, when and what amount was returned to the operator. <br />Section 2.05.4(2)(d) Topsoil Redistribution <br />1. To your knowledge, have the cover and topsoil depths on the <br />refuse pile, been verified in the field? See permit page 4-72 for <br />refuse pile cover of 6 inches. <br />section 2.05.4(2)(g) sealing or Managing Mine openings, <br />Exploration Holes, Other Horeholes or <br />Aells <br />1. Please include a sentence describing the reclamation of the <br />Portal No. 1 and Portal No. 2, what has been done and what will be <br />done to Portal No. 1 in the future. <br />2. Please include in the narrative on page 4-66 the methodology <br />used to seal holes and wells that accompanies drawing on page 4-68. <br />3. Please provide an update on which exploration holes and wells <br />have been plugged, the methods used and what holes and wells remain <br />open at present. Please include the status of M-1, M-2, M-3 and M- <br />Section 2.05.6(3) Protection of the Hydrologic Balance <br />1. Please indicate if the haul road culverts are still in place. <br />2. It has been difficult to access the haul road and historic <br />truck dump site lately since the rancher has blockaded the road via <br />fencing. Please notify the rancher that OMLR must have access to <br />this property until total bond release. <br />3. Anshutz corporation letters state that the truck dump area at <br />the loadout hillside was reclaimed. Please provide an explanation <br />as to how the area was filled in and reclaimed to prevent erosion <br />downslope in overland flow. <br />
