San Mrguel County /United Companies Gravel Operation
Page 2
Finally, San Miguel County has no intention of neglecting its responsibility to reclaim the 1.94
acres no matter who is using the lard for stoclq~iling gravel. However, the County would have
no objection if the Division of Minerals & Geology determines that the 1.44 acres must be
included with United Company's gravel pit permit for the purpose of reclamation responsibility.
As you lmow the County is not required to bond but rrnrst submit a Performarre Warranty to
ensure compliance with the rrrining and reclamation rules.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely, ~/ -- --
Mrke Horner
Rued Superintendent
CC: Bcard of County Corrrirnssioners
Steve Zwick, San Mrguel County Attorney
Mary Ann Gaston
