EXHIBIT G
WATER INFORMATION
There will be little disturbance to the prevailing hydrological
balance of the affected land as a result of the gravel mining
scheduled to begin in the summer of 1988.
No tributary water courses, springs, stock ponds, or reservoirs
are located on the affected land. The old Chaffee Ditch, owned
by Mobile Premix, runs along the western perimeter of the mining
area.
Mining may call for the removal of this ditch. If so, Mobile
Premix plans to reconstruct the ditch in its historic alignment
with backfill materials such that it can be used to service
their property.
Wells
No wells are expected to be adversely affected outside the
mining area. The 2-3 residences within a quarter of a mile on
the north and west are serviced by city water. No wells are
located on the property to be mined.
Drainage
Currently there exists a 7-12 acre area to the west and south of
the amendment area that drains across the site. During mining
these waters, along with the on-site waters, will be allowed to
drain into the pit, where they will be discharged into the
Mobile Premix lake to the south. Upon completion of the mining,
these waters will be intercepted or diverted to the old Chaffee
Ditch where they will again be routed to the lake to the south.
Flood Plain
According to the FEMA flood plain maps, the 100 year flood
elevation is 4922 on the property.
Mobile Premix will minimize disturbances to the prevailing
hydrological balance of the affected land in the surrounding
area, and to the quality and quantity of surface and ground
water systems during both mining and reclamation phases. Mobile
Premix believes it is in compliance with federal and state laws
and regulations governing water and water rights . There is no
application of the dredge law. The ongoing operations are not
expected to cause measurable or material injury to senior water
rights.
-8-
