Long <br />Division Director <br />On March 6, 1997, the Division of Minerals and Geology received your applications for Transfer <br />of Petmit and Succession of Operator (S.O.) for the above referenced operations, its denoted by <br />[he No. SO-02 or 3. Following is a list of understandings. Initial review deterntined that [he <br />following items must be submitted or corrected before technical review of your application can <br />begin: <br />I) According to the Mazch 6, 1997, letter, from Donald Peterson, President of Energy Fuels <br />Nuclear, Inc., which accompanied the permit transfer documents, IUC wishes to <br />immediately transfer the permits upon closing of the property transfers. A.s I explained <br />in our telephone conversation, in order for the transfer to be completed, bond documents <br />should accompany the S.O. request so that the actual review and transfer may be <br />accomplished. It is understood that the surety documents will be submitted upon <br />completion of the property transfers. The transfer documents will be held until the <br />Financial Warranty documents are submitted. I have spoken with Steve Shuey, Acting <br />Senior Environmental Protection Specialist in the Durango Field Office, I'egarding [his <br />matter, and we have agreed that upon receipt of acceptable bond documents, 1 will <br />process the transfers in order to accommodate the short time frame. <br />
