• 15 • <br />NORTHWEST MINING UNIT <br />Reclamation of the 8-acre northwest unit shall begin upon completion of the gravel <br />extraction operations for portions not covered by temporary stockpiles. r1s with previous <br />unit restoration the north and west headwalls shall be smoothed and sloped shallower than <br />3H:1 V. Bare pit floor areas shall be finish-graded, and all graded surfaces topsoiled from <br />surface soil stripped from the next mining tout seeded and mulched at the appropriate <br />climatic opportunity. Warranty reduction for partially completed reclamation shall be <br />requested as appropriate. Similar reclamation operations for the balance of the northwest <br />unit sltatl be conducted as soon as stockpiles of produced materials and topsoil stockpiles <br />for the reclamation of the next mining unit are removed from the site. <br />FEEDLOT MINING UNIT <br />The livestock feed trough at the north edge of the feedlot mining unit shall be dismantled <br />and stored to be re-installed or discarded at the option of the landowner. Restoration of <br />the 8-acre feedlot unit shall be dela}•ed until mining is completed in order to utilize the <br />worked-out pit areas for processing and stockpiling. When mining is completed to the west <br />boundary the west headwall backslope and most of the north headwall backslope shall be <br />graded smooth at a shallower than 3H:1 V backslope. West portions of the pit floor not <br />still needed for operations shall be IIattened and fmish-graded. Backslopes and pi[ floor so <br />prepared sltatl be topsoiled. seeded, and mulched for rangeland restoration. Topsoil shall <br />be supplied from topsoil stored in stockpile just north of the central access road in the <br />northwest mining unit. <br />Warranty reduction for partially completed portions of the unit reclamation shall be <br />requested at appropriate intervals.
