PUBLICNOTICE Bowie Resources Limited, P. O. Box 1488, Paonia, Colorado, 81428, telephone number (970) 527-4135 has filed with the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology a complete application for a technical revision for its Bowie No. 1 Mine permit No. C-81- 038. The proposed revision will reduce the hydrologic monitoring requirements within and adjacent to the permit boundary. The Bowie No. 1 Mine has been idle for a sufficient period of time to demonstrate the mining operation has not had any adverse impact to the hydrologic balance within or adjacent to the permit boundary. The Bowie No. 1 Mine is located in Delta county, approximately four (4) miles north of Paonia, CO. The Bowie No. 1 Mine loadout is located in Delta county approximately one mile east of Paonia, CO south of State Highway 133. The surface facilities, located north of the North Fork of the Gunnison River, are located in portions of Sections 23 and 24, Township 13 South Range 92 West; and Section 29, Township 13 South, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. The mine permit area is located on the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Bowie and Gray Reservoir, Colorado Quadrangle maps within the fallowing sections. Township 13 South. Ranoe 92 West, 6'h P.M. Sections: 1, 2, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 15, 22, 23, 24 and 25 Township 13 South. Range 91 West. 6"' P.M. Sections: 5, 6, 7, 8, 17, 18, 19, 29, 30, 31, and 32 containing 8,089 acres more or less. A copy of the proposed revision is available for public inspection at the Paonia Public Library, 140 Grand Avenue, Paonia, CO, and at the offices of the Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, CO, 80203, (303) 866-3567. Also, the Division has made a copy of the proposed revision available at the Delta County Clerk and Recorder's office for public review. Written comments regarding this application may be submitted to and additional information may be obtained from the Division of Minerals and Geology at the above address.
