PUBLICNOTICE <br />Bowie Resources Limited, P. O. Box 1488, Paonia, Colorado, 81428, telephone <br />number (970) 527-4135 has filed with the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology a <br />complete application for a technical revision for its Bowie No. 1 Mine permit No. C-81- <br />038. The proposed revision will reduce the hydrologic monitoring requirements within <br />and adjacent to the permit boundary. The Bowie No. 1 Mine has been idle for a <br />sufficient period of time to demonstrate the mining operation has not had any adverse <br />impact to the hydrologic balance within or adjacent to the permit boundary. <br />The Bowie No. 1 Mine is located in Delta county, approximately four (4) miles north of <br />Paonia, CO. The Bowie No. 1 Mine loadout is located in Delta county approximately <br />one mile east of Paonia, CO south of State Highway 133. The surface facilities, located <br />north of the North Fork of the Gunnison River, are located in portions of Sections 23 <br />and 24, Township 13 South Range 92 West; and Section 29, Township 13 South, <br />Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. The mine permit area is located on the U.S. Geological <br />Survey 7.5 minute Bowie and Gray Reservoir, Colorado Quadrangle maps within the <br />fallowing sections. <br />Township 13 South. Ranoe 92 West, 6'h P.M. <br />Sections: 1, 2, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 15, 22, 23, 24 and 25 <br />Township 13 South. Range 91 West. 6"' P.M. <br />Sections: 5, 6, 7, 8, 17, 18, 19, 29, 30, 31, and 32 <br />containing 8,089 acres more or less. <br />A copy of the proposed revision is available for public inspection at the Paonia Public <br />Library, 140 Grand Avenue, Paonia, CO, and at the offices of the Division of Minerals <br />and Geology, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, CO, 80203, (303) 866-3567. <br />Also, the Division has made a copy of the proposed revision available at the Delta <br />County Clerk and Recorder's office for public review. Written comments regarding this <br />application may be submitted to and additional information may be obtained from the <br />Division of Minerals and Geology at the above address. <br />
