Dept, of Naturrl R®saure®r
Thank you for your prompt response. I will answer your concerns paragraph by
paragraph. If you have any additional questions in this regard we will do our
best to satisfy them prior to the board's February meeting for consideration.
1. 2.76 acres were deleted as shown on Revision 1 to Exhibit One,
sub;nitted with our Technical Revision application. Approximately
2.68 acres were added of which 1.7 acres are near the bottom of
Trail Gulch and will not be impacted by this work. The intent
was to not change the over-all acreage permitted, but to adjust
the boundary as necessary to accomodate the burden disposal needs.
2. The underground telephone cable will be undisturbed.
3. This location was prepared as a drilling site including a mud pit.
It was never used as such and has become an illegal dumping ground.
See attached sketch for pre-fill and post-fill conditions.
4. Approximately 15,000 tons of gypsite burden will be placed over this
site. The berm height, relative to the road adjacent, should not
exceed 8'.
5. Final slopes will be compatible with existing slopes. In fact, most
berm slopes will be less than the existing slopes to Trail Gulch.
Minimum slopes varying from lz:l to 2:1 are proposed.
6. Final slopes should prove aesthetically pleasing and overall impact
should provide a positive improvement to the area. Restricting areas
available for the indiscriminate disposal of trash should enhance
the whole area. (Copy of letter from the Bls1 concerning this work
is enclosed for your information.)
