EXHIBIT D
MINING PLAN _ ., _
@rownwood'2 ~~~''• ~• '
Attached are the mining plan and adequacy responses from the original
Brownwood Pit, which become part of this mining plan.
At this time it is not anticipated that the mining of Brownwood ~2 will affect
the the mining plan for Brownwood ~ 1. There is the possibilitiy that for
eoanomic reasons, the mining oP Brownwood e2 may cause the Oaner to
delay the gravel eztraction of Area 3 in Brownwood x 1 until mining is
complete in Brownwood #2 so that tine asphalt hot miz plant will act need to
be moved. Should this be the case, the Owner wiU file a Technical
Addendum to the mining plan.
The total area for Brownwood #2 is divided into three specific removal
erase es shown on Exhtbtt C. Using scrapers, the topsoil will be removed
from Area to end stockpiled in Area 3A. Utilizing scrapers and front-end
loaders es necessary, the overburden soils will be removed sequentially end
stored separately in Aree 3A. Approximately 6' to 12' of topsoil will be
removed. Overburden depths range from 4' to 7.5', please refer to Exhibit 'I',
Soils Information for boring logs. Send end gravel removed from Aree lA
will be taken to the crusher end processing arse to be set up on the east half
of Area 2A (see fizhibit "C"). Processed materiels will be stockpiled in this
same area. Movement of materiels on the site will be eccomDlished by using
tandem axle dump trucks.
Operations in Arses 2A and 3A will be conducted in a similar fashion. After
grovel extraction is completed in Aree 1A, topsoil end overburden from
Area 2A wfll be stockpiled in Aree 3A. The crusher, processing and
processed materials storage area for Area 2A aill in the south half of Area
3A (see Fshibit "C"). During ezraction operations in Area 2A, the
overburden stockpiles in Area 3A will be used to backfill Area 2A, starting
on the east end as the eztraction process moves west. When operations start
in Area 3A, overburden will be used to complete the backfilliag of Area 2A.
Topsoil stockpiles will be located on the east half of Area 2A and the
crushing, processing end processed material storage area will be located just
west of Area 3A (see Ezhibit "C').
Operations 1n the vicinity of the existing Piette River Power Authority
power line will be in accordance with the terms of the easement agreement
with the Platte River Power Authority, a copy of which is attached.
