MINE ID # OP. PROSPECT ID#: M-1996-060 • PAGE: 4
INSPECTION DATE: 12-7-00 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ACS
application indicate that only 167.05 acres will be added. The legal description included
in the original Firestien Pit permit is for 133.79 acres, so upon approval of the amendment
the Firestien Pit will be 133.79 + 167.05 = 300.84 permitted acres. If this acreage
tabulation is acceptable to the applicant, no further action on the part of Hall-Irwin is
necessary. If additional acreage for a total permit area of 328 acres was intended, then the
application must be modified and new maps must be provided prior to the December 18, 2000
decision date. If more time is needed to clear up any acreage discrepancy, the applicant may
provide a written request for an extension of the decision date. As of now, the Division of
Minerals and Geology intends to approve the amendment and a total permit acreage of 300.84
acres and the approval will be completed on December 18, 2000.
cc: Carl Mount, DMG
Danna Ortiz
Rocky Mountain Consultants
825 Delaware Ave., Suite 500
Longmont, CO 80501
Mary Tigges
12404 Weld County Road 64 'h
Greeley, CO 80631
I & E Contact Address
NAME Jeff Grecig
OPERATOR Hall-Irwin Corporation
STREET P.O.
