Long <br />Division Director <br />Denver, CO 80222-1530 <br />Re: Hayden Gulch Loadout (Permit No. C-1992-081) <br />Technical Revision Application No. 5 (TR-5) <br />Coal Handling Facilities Modification <br />Dear Mr. Geier: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, <br />Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on July l0, 2000, an application to revise coal mining <br />operations at the Hayden Gulch Loadout was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was <br />submitted by Hayden Gulch Terminal, Inc.. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the <br />Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to modify the existing loadout facility to allow for the unloading of coal from rail cars: <br />The Hayden Gulch Loadout operation is on land located approximately 2 miles Southeast of Hayden. The permit <br />area is further described as follows: <br />Portions of: E1/2 Sec. 10, WI/2 Sec. 14, EI/2E1l2 Sec. I5, NEl/4 Sec. 22, NWI/4NW1/4 Sec. 23, Township 6 <br />North, Range 88 West of the 6th P.M. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Mount Harris. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Routt County Courthouse, <br />Box 773598, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477, and at the Division office. For additional information or to provide <br />written comments, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. In order for us to comply with regulatory time frames, we request that <br />comments be submitted within fifteen (l5) days of this letter.
