PART 4.0 MEETINGS <br />Meetings shalt be held in order to clearly define construction activities and goals in order to <br />facilitate construction. Close coordination among all parties is essential for meeting the project <br />objectives. <br />4.01 PRECONSTRUCTION MEETING <br />A preconstruction meeting will be held at the Site prior to the start of construction. <br />MANAGER, Engineer, COA Monitor, Installer, CONTRACTOR, and others designated by <br />MANAGER shall attend this meeting. The purpose of this meeting will be to: <br />- provide each organization with all relevant COA documentation and supporting <br />information; <br />- review the construction DRAWINGS, COA Plan, and SPECIFICATIONS; <br />- review work area security and health and safety protocol; <br />- define the responsibilities of each party; <br />- define lines of communication and authority; <br />- review method of documentation, testing procedures, and reporting inspection <br />data; <br />- establish testing protocols and procedures for correcting and documenting <br />construction deficiencies; <br />- discuss any changes that may be needed to ensure that construction will meet <br />or exceed the design; <br />- conduct a site inspection to discuss work areas, work plans, stockpiling, <br />laydown areas, access roads, haul roads, and related items; and <br />- review the schedule. <br />This meeting will be documented by MANAGER and copies wilt be distributed to all patties. <br />4.02 PROGRESS MEETINGS <br />A progress meeting will be held daily, either before the start of work or at the completion of <br />work. At a minimum, this meeting will be attended by the COA Monitor and CONTRACTOR. <br />The purpose of this meeting will be to: <br />- review all the previous day's accomplishments and activities; <br />- review scheduled work location and activities for the day; <br />identify CONTRACTOR's equipment and personnel assignments for the day; <br />- discuss any problems or potential construction problems; and <br />• - review test data. <br />February 1 S, 1994 <br />01400.1-5 <br />Section 01400.1 <br />Earthworks COA Plan <br />Revision 0 <br />
