Please tind
listed below issues that need to be corrected or clarified in order for the review process to
continue.
1) Map C-1, the Pre-Mine Map has a lot of information portrayed on it that is both
useful and necessary per the Rules. However, C-1 does not clearly state adjacent ,
landowners as required under Rule 6.4.3(al. Staff finds that having to refer to an
additional exhibit (Exhibit V) is impractical in the field and maybe confusing to the
general public. Also, Exhibit V states full parcel numbers, while on the map the last
3 digits are noted. For clarity, please submit an additional map that clearly states
the names of adiacent landowners. It may help to drop some of the other
information shown. on C-1 so that property lines and such are more easily defined.
2) The Mine Plan Map, C-3 has several issues that must be addressed.
a) There are no general direction of mining arrows to indicate starting points and
continued excavation. Please supply a new map with the requested
information.
b) How is the material transported from Areas 1,2, and 3 to the Surge Pile Area?
There is no haul roads or conveyor belts noted from the mining area to the
river cross over point. Please note on the new map proposed methods and
routes for moving the materials from all areas to the Surge Pile point.
c) The access road from Mamm Creek /Frontage Road comes to the southeast
corner of the proposed site. From this point the haul /access road meanders
throughout the permit area to access Mining Area 1 and 3. Please clarify if
the location of the haul /access road per Map C-2 is to be constructed as
depicted or otherwise.
Office of Offce of Colorado
