<br />ALASKA NATIONAL INTEREST LANDS
<br />Thta appilcat[en will be used when applying for ^vight-of-wpy,
<br />permit, license, terse, or certificate for the use of Federal lands
<br />which IEe within eonsen•etion system units and Natiooal Reerealioa
<br />m Conservation Meas as defined in the Alaska Natiooal Interest
<br />Lands Conserv ellon Act. Conservation system units include the
<br />National Park System, National Wildlife Refuge Spslem, Natioml
<br />Wild and Scenic Rivers System, National Traits System, National
<br />Wilderness- Preservation System, and National Forest MowmeMS.
<br />Transportation and utility systems and facitily uses for which the
<br />epptication may be used are:
<br />1. Canals, ditches, flumes, laterals, pipes, pipelines, lunwels,
<br />and other systems for the transportation o[ water.
<br />2. Pipelines and other agstems !or the transportation o! Liquids
<br />other than water, including oil, natural gas, synthetic liquid and
<br />gSStous fuels, and any refined product produced therefrom.
<br />3. Pipelines, slung and emulsion systems, sad conveyor belts
<br />for transportation of solid materials.
<br />4. Systems for the trnnamisaion and disiribvtioa o! eleclrle
<br />energY•
<br />S. Systems for transmission or reception o! radio, television,
<br />telephone, leleRraph, and other electronic signals, and other means
<br />o[ communications.
<br />6. Improved rightsrof-way for snow machines, air enshioa
<br />vehie lea, and all.lenain vehicles.
<br />7. Roads, highways, nilroeds, tunnels, tramways, airports,
<br />lending strips, docks, and other systems o[ general transportation.

<br />7 Attach preliminary site and facility eonsiruetion plans. The
<br />responSEDIe agency will provide instructions whenever spec(-

<br />teehoology and economics.
