2.05.6 MITIGATION OF THE IMPACTS OF MINING OPERATIONS
2.05.6 (1) AIR POLLUTION CONTROL PLAN -
The air emisssions permit from the Colorado Department of Health is currently
being amended to reflect the changes in the surface layout and also to stipulate
watering of the haul road instead of oilino as a dust prevention measure.
When received, the revised permit will be submitted to the Division.
The measures to be taken under the air emissions permit are satisfactory to
comply with the Clean Air Act. These measures include the following:
a. The road surface will be constructed or compacted of red dog
which will inhibit dust. However, when necessary, roads will
be sprayed with water.
b. Sprays will be installed on surface coal handling equipment
when necessary to control fugitive dust, so that opacity will
not exceed 20%.
If any inadequacies develop concerning air emissions, all efforts will be
made to correct the problem and maintain compliance.
D.
