r1 <br />~~ <br /> <br />EXHIBIT L <br />Costs have been estimated for the Boettcher quarry <br />area which is currently under bond. These reclamation costs <br />are calculated on the following basis: <br />1. Since the distances are short, normally under 100 <br />feet, the dozer work has been estimated at $0.35 <br />per cubic yard. <br />2. Scraper distances are also short in the quarry <br />reclamation, so costs of scraper moved material <br />have been estimated at $0.70 per cubic yard. <br />3. Dragline cost is estimated at $0.25 per cubic ya:cd <br />where the dragline must be used on the east side of <br />some of the overburden piles to remove material .in <br />order to lower the slope to 2:1 maximum. <br />9. Growth media or "topsoil" spreading has been <br />estimated at 50.60 per cubic yard per contractor <br />quote. <br />5. Seeding has been estimated on the successful <br />experience at the Portland quarry east of Canyon <br />City. The seed is broadcast and then cleated in <br />with a bulldozer.
