EXHIBIT C - FOR AMENDMENT 10/20/92
MAPS QE AFFECTED LAND. BOETTCHER LIMESTONE QUARRY
Maps bcc-1356 Sheet 1 through bcc-1361 Sheet 6 were prepared
early in 1991 from aerial photos flown in August, 1990.
These maps are at a scale of 1" = 200 feet, with a contour
interval of 5 feet.
Two sets of maps for Exhibit C have been prepared upon this
base. The first set, the Permit Boundaries, shows the
existing permit boundary, the proposed amendment boundary,
and the existing (10-1-92) limit of bonding. The second ;set
of maps divides the quarry into operational areas, with
mining and reclamation information for each area. A set of
cross sections applies both to Exhibit C, Mining Plan Maps,
and Exhibit F, Final Grading and Reclamation Plan.
(a) Immediately adjacent surface owners are shown on the
Permit Boundaries Maps.
(b) Creeks - The only creek in the quarry area crosses the
hogback from west to east (map bcc-1360) between
coordinates 119,500 and 120,000 North. The water source
and flow is primarily seepage from the Monroe Gravit;~
Canal carrying irrigation water in season. A pipe w<~s
installed at this point to prevent water loss into ttie
quarry cut either north or south of the creek.
Irrig~ion Ditches - The Water Supply and Storage Comp-
any Larimer County Canal flows northward east of they
cement plant. The Windsor Reservoir and Canal Company
Flood Ditch crosses the hogback and then flows northward
at a higher elevation. These ditches limit eastward
expansion of the quarry The Monroe Gravity Canal
controlled by the North Poudre Irrigation Company is
shown on map bcc-1361.
Ro ds - Larimer County Road 56E borders the south enc. of
the affected area. There are no oil or gas wells or
pipelines.
Buildings - All buildings shown are the property of
HOLNAM INC.
Power Lines - An REA power line crosses the A-band
quarry at the Flood Ditch crossing (map sheets 3 and 9),
and proceeds north on Holnam property east of the Flood
Ditch. A Platte River Power Authority power line runs
north and south on the west side of, and parallel to,
the A-band overburden piles. All other power lines
. within the designated affected lands are the property of
Holnam.
10
