Massey
Re: Permit No. C-81039
February 10, 1993
Page 3
Last year was the first year Mr. Osborn was on the property and by the
time he was truly able to focus on the problem some of the weeds had
already gone to seed. He sprayed what he could in the areas which were
the most accessible, primarily those which he could spray from his
tractor either directly or utilizing a pump and hose. Some of that
spraying will have to be done again this year although, to all outward
indications, he got an extremely good kill last year. But the other
areas which need to be sprayed this year are much more difficult to
access. Some can still be gotten to by the tractor but many areas will
have to be dealt with by handsprayers and this is a timeconsuming and
expensive proposition. According to Red Cortner, all of this will be
readily apparent to anyone when the property can be inspected.
If I don't hear from you in due course concerning the first proposal I
will merely assume that your Company wishes to follow the second, and
will make plans to implement an appropriate inspection of the property
as soon as that is feasible.
fa
cc - Mr. Kent Gorham, Reclamation Specialist, State of Colorado,
Division of Minerals and Geology, Department of Natural Resources,
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203
- Mr. Red Cortner, P.0.
